Frequently Asked Questions

A Newborn Care Specialist “Baby Nurse” is someone who’s specialized in the care of newborns and works in a temporary capacity in your home 10-12hrs or 24/7hrs during the weeks following birth, and has an extensive background working with newborns and educating parents.
There are many factors to consider when deciding how long you’d want to retain the services of a Newborn Care Specialist. Two major factors are, your method for delivery, natural birth or cesarean section which requires a longer recovery time. Secondly, do you have adequate support after baby is born (does dad have paternity leave)?. If not, you would need to retain your Newborn Care Specialist for a longer period of time. A minimum of 3 weeks is suggested, however, 8-12 weeks is recommended to receive optimum benefits.
Sleep Conditioning is helping your baby to create healthy sleep routines that helps to set them up for successful sleep training. However, Sleep Training is teaching your baby to fall asleep independently without help from you. That means baby is put down for bed fully awake, and drifts off to sleep without being rocked, swayed, cuddled, or shushed.
